Numbers of cattle slaughtered in Wales due to bovine tuberculosis (TB) infection have reached record levels, as authorised culls of TB-infected badgers make slow progress. In October 2018, 1499 cattle were slaughtered as a result of TB controls, the highest number in a month since records began.
