As of noon today [30 Aug 2015], there have been a total of:
1178 laboratory confirmed cases of MERS-CoV, including
507 deaths,
609 recoveries, and
62 currently active cases (including 9 on home isolation).
Since the last ProMED-mail update (MERS-CoV (119): Jordan, Saudi Arabia, nosocomial 20150828.3608888), there have been
5 newly confirmed cases,
5 newly reported fatalities, and
3 newly reported recoveries.

BIO: Richard T. Cartwright PE, CHMM, CPIM* is the Senior Vice President responsible for remediation technology marketing at MECx, LP.He has an MBA in Operations and Logistics Management from Indiana University, a BES in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University, and recently completed a Professional Certificate Program in Project Management at the University of Buffalo.
