The bacterium that causes legionnaires’ disease has been found in the water system of a South Bronx [New York City] apartment building. So far, one of the buildings of the Melrose Houses has tested positive for _Legionella pneumophila_ bacteria. 2 other buildings have tested negative, and test results are outstanding on 5 other buildings in the complex.
