Whooping cough or pertussis, a disease that sounds ancient but is still around, is accelerating the pace of contagion in Spain. The infection is growing.
In just 8 months in 2015, there were more cases recorded than in all of 2014. Additionally, in 32 weeks, the Carlos III Institute certified 4822 new cases; 1699 more are ill from this disease than in the 12 months of 2014, a jump of 54 percent without finishing this year.
