A surge in the contagious ‘hand, foot and mouth disease’ (HFMD) among children is keeping doctors busy at the private hospitals in Oman. Dr A Parthasarathi, specialist paediatrician and neonatologist at the Badr Al Samaa Hospital, said the virus is spreading in Oman. “We are currently seeing around 10 to 12 cases in our outpatient department every day,” he revealed.
