Chicken Pox, MRSA — United States
The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency says 7 cases of chickenpox have been reported to the health department’s St. Joseph County [Michigan] office this past week.
This follows the 7 confirmed Hillsdale County cases in January [2016] that were reported by the Michigan Disease Surveillance System.
Most of the cases involved school-age children.
Under Michigan law, all students have to be immunized with 2 doses of the Varicella vaccine.
