Hantavirus — China
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) announced a confirmed case of rodentborne hantavirus hemorrhagic fever [with renal syndrome; HFRS] on Monday [25 Apr 2016], the 3rd case of its kind in Taiwan this year [2016]. The patient is a 57 year old fish vendor living in Kaohsiung, southern Taiwan, the CDC stated.
