Leptospirosis — Fiji
Fiji has recorded 430 leptospirosis cases from January to 3 Aug this year [2016], health minister Jone Usamate said on Thursday [11 Aug 2016], according to the Ministry of Health and Medical Services.
The minister also urged the public to refrain from swimming or wading in flooded waters to avoid waterborne illnesses [such as leptospirosis].

BIO: Richard T. Cartwright PE, CHMM, CPIM* is the Senior Vice President responsible for remediation technology marketing at MECx, LP.He has an MBA in Operations and Logistics Management from Indiana University, a BES in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University, and recently completed a Professional Certificate Program in Project Management at the University of Buffalo.
