Legionnaires’ — United States
One person has died and 6 others were hospitalized after contracting Legionnaires’ disease in the Lenox Hill neighborhood [in the New York City borough of Manhattan], the city Department of Health announced [Fri 16 Jun 2017]. The city identified a cluster of outbreaks after the 7 people fell ill with the disease in a span of 11 days, according to the Department of Health. The person who died had “significant underlying health conditions” and was in their 90s, the Department of Health said.
