Earlier this week, 14 children between the ages of 4 and 11 were taken to the Tielt hospital in West Flanders after contracting the disease. It soon became apparent that the source of the infection was to be sought from a caterer who had provided meals to several Flemish schools. The Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (Afsca) has also suspended its activity Thursday night [24 May 2018].
