Foot and Mouth — Algeria
A total of 11 cases of foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) have been reported in the commune of Oued El Berdi, about 20 km [12 miles] southeast of Bouira. These are 11 pregnant cows that contracted the virus in a barn of a private breeder. The 11 cattle head with high milk production were slaughtered.
