Leptospirosis — India
A Kandivli auto driver succumbed to leptospirosis on Friday [19 Aug 2016]. Leptospirosis saw a spike with almost 300 people admitted to various BMC hospitals in the same period [between August 1 and 21]. “Only 45 of these had confirmed leptospirosis,” said a senior BMC health official.
