Malaria — India
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has recorded 415 malaria cases this month [August 2018], more than a 50% decrease from the 1048 cases in August 2017.
In the 1st fortnight of this month [August 2018], the city recorded the 1st death due to malaria this year [2018] after a 52-year-old housekeeper from Worli Koliwada died of respiratory failure on 6 Aug 2018, one week after onset of fever and chills.

BIO: Richard T. Cartwright PE, CHMM, CPIM* is the Senior Vice President responsible for remediation technology marketing at MECx, LP.He has an MBA in Operations and Logistics Management from Indiana University, a BES in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University, and recently completed a Professional Certificate Program in Project Management at the University of Buffalo.
