Rabies — United States
One person in West Union [South Carolina] is being treated after being potentially exposed to rabies after a cat attack.
DHEC [Department of Health and Environmental Control] says the person was attacked by a stray cat on 22 Jun 2016.
Animal Control officers found a rabid cat in the area of Main St. and Torrington Rd. in West Union, according to the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office.
