Bacterial meningitis is an infection caused by 3 main germs named _Neisseria meningitidis_, _Haemophilus influenzae_ and _Streptococcus pneumoniae_. In Africa, meningitis causes each year sporadic cases in many countries and outbreaks in countries along the meningitis belt in West and Central Africa.
