Maynard firefighters respond to Hazmat incident

When Maynard firefighters responded to a hazardous materials incident on May 15, they had no idea what was in store for them. As it turned out, there was no real danger.Fire Chief Anthony Stowers said that at 1:30 p.m., a caller reported an odor inside the building at 63 Great Road. The Fire Department responded in full protective gear, including self-contained breathing apparatus. Using a multi-gas air-monitoring meter, firefighters took readings inside the building and found high
