Avian Influenza H5N8 -- Saudi ArabiaA total of 6 new cases of highly contagious bird flu (H5N8) were reported over the past 24 hours in Saudi Arabia. The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture said that the cases had been detected in traditional poultry farms in the city of Riyadh and the governorates of Al-Kharj and Al-Ahsaa.The specialised teams discovered other birds which tested positive in a market in Jeddah and enforced the emergency quarantine plan, reports Al Riyadh.
