Tick-borne disease -- United StatesThe daughter of a 58-year-old woman from Sullivan has confirmed that her mother died from complications relating to the Bourbon virus [infection] contracted by a tick bite.The woman was the assistant park superintendent at Meramec State Park in Sullivan.
