Algae -- United KingdomA dog-owner has warned the public not to let their pets near water if blue-green algae may be present after her 4-month-old puppy died.[A resident] of Willington, regularly walked her Labrador pup at Foremark reservoir but was unaware of the presence of the algae, which is actually a toxic bacteria which multiplies in summer.
