Tularemia -- United StatesTularemia is an uncommon but debilitating arthropod-borne zoonosis caused by _Francicella tularensis_. Although human infection occurs sporadically throughout the continental USA, historically, cases have been concentrated in the south central states of Louisiana, Arkansas, and Missouri.
