PRO/AH> Bovine ephemeral fever – Israel (04): update, RFI

Other Animal Disease — Worldwide/Unknown
Since 14 Jul 2014, clinical cases of bovine ephemeral fever (BEF, “3 day sickness”), showing the typical signs (mainly elevated temperatures, acute drop of milk yield, salivation, recumbency) have been reported from dairy and beef cattle farms and in various parts of Israel. During the last week, outbreaks with mild clinical signs have still been seen, including in locations 500 m [0.3 mi] above sea level and higher.
