Adding to a total of 10 incidents of contact with rabid animals in Middlesex County recently, a rabid raccoon fought with 2 dogs in the yard of a private property in nearby Spotswood, resulting in the animal being killed by the dogs’ owner.
The Middlesex County Office of Health Services is reporting that a raccoon tested positive for rabies in Spotswood, Middlesex County, in the vicinity of Burlington Avenue and Madie Avenue. This is the 10th rabid animal reported within Middlesex County
