Kyasanur Forest Disease — India
Despite precautionary and surveillance measures by the Department of Health and Family Welfare in the district [Shivamogga] against Kyasanur Forest disease (KFD), also known as monkey fever, there is no sign of the outbreak subsiding in Malnad [Malenadu] region and it is extending its reach to new areas here.
