Avian Influenza H5N8 — Poland
Summary of the epizootic situation associated with highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in poultry during the period 31 Dec 2019-3 Jan 2020.
Based on the results of tests received from the national reference laboratory for avian influenza, i.e. the National Veterinary Institute – National Research Institute in Pulawy, a total of 7 new outbreaks of HPAI H5N8 have been confirmed in poultry during the said period, of which 3 were in 2019 and 4 in 2020.
