High activity of ticks — vectors of infectious diseases — continue to be recorded in the Stavropol region.
As of 30 Jun [2015], 6232 people sought medical aid in connection for tick bites, being 35.6 per cent more than in the same period last year [2014]. Moreover, there has been a 40 per cent increase in the number of children bitten by ticks.
