Ebola — DR Congo
As of late August [2019], 28 out of a total of 47 health zones across Ituri and North Kivu provinces have reported cases of Ebola. Of these 28, 18 are considered active transmission zones, meaning that they have notified new confirmed cases in the past 21 days (the maximum incubation period for Ebola). South Kivu has recently recorded cases in Mwenga health zone, becoming the 3rd province in DRC to be affected in the current outbreak.
