Equine Herpes Virus — United States
Officials at the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) confirmed on 26 Jan [2021] that a horse at a Hanover County boarding facility was confirmed with equine herpesvirus myeloencephalopathy. Thirty-two horses at 2 different facilities were exposed. The positive horse, a cross-bred gelding, began showing clinical signs on 25 Jan [2021].
