Equine Infectious Anemia — Canada
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has confirmed a case of equine infectious anemia (EIA) in a Saskatchewan horse, the Equine Disease Communication Center (EDCC) reported 24 Jul 2018. The affected horse underwent testing to satisfy a pre-entry requirement for a particular premises. Initial reports indicate the horse has traveled extensively within Saskatchewan for training and competition.
