Japanese Encephalitis — India
State Vector-borne Disease Control Officer Dr Himanshu Jaiswar, while speaking to The Hitavada, said that to date [26 Aug 2018], a total of 8 Japanese encephalitis- (JE) positive cases have been registered across the state.
A few days back, a 3-year-old child died from JE. Health officials have already started investigations around the localities of positive patients. Concerned authorities have confirmed the presence of JE virus in the areas.
