A puppy adopted from the Washington County/Johnson City Animal Shelter was euthanized and tested positive for rabies after it began to show signs of the fatal disease.
Animal Shelter Director Tammy Davis said she hopes the incident won’t cause a knee-jerk reaction for the public or anyone looking for a pet.
