France has declared it was “certain” that sarin gas had been used by the Assad regime in Syria’s civil war after the United Nations said the conflict had reached “new levels of brutality.”
Laurent Fabius, the French foreign minister, said tests carried out by a French laboratory proved sarin had been used on multiple occasions.
