Influenza — Worldwide/Unknown
This is the 1st monthly summer bulletin after weekly reporting ended in week 20/2015.
All countries reported low intensity of influenza activity over the period covered by this report, with sporadic influenza virus detections across the region.
The percentage of sentinel samples testing positive for influenza was low (2 percent), which is normal for this time of the year.
(Weekly bulletins for the 2015-2016 influenza season will start for week 40/2015.)

BIO: Richard T. Cartwright PE, CHMM, CPIM* is the Senior Vice President responsible for remediation technology marketing at MECx, LP.He has an MBA in Operations and Logistics Management from Indiana University, a BES in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University, and recently completed a Professional Certificate Program in Project Management at the University of Buffalo.
