A person has died and many more were sickened after receiving infusions of a saline solution produced by Wallcur, a San Diego [California]-based company, the FDA [Food and Drug Administration] said Wednesday, 14 Jan 2015. The saline solution was meant for training purposes and was not sterile, officials said.
