Anthrax -- KyrgyzstanThe owner of the calf in Kara-Suu district of Osh region, source of anthrax, was fined, the state inspectorate for veterinary and phytosanitary safety reported. The man was fined KGS 5500 (USD 70.54) for violation of veterinary rules.The carcass of the dead calf was divided into 4 parts. Meat was distributed among villagers without a veterinary permit.
