Canine distemper -- United StatesA safety reminder regarding how to handle animals infected with distemper came out of Frankfort [Thu 16 Jan 2020].The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife confirmed 3 raccoons found within city limits tested positive for distemper in December [2019].Distemper is caused by a virus and often occurs in raccoons, gray foxes, coyotes and, occasionally, skunks.Common symptoms in infected animals include respiratory distress, coughing, sneezing, watery discharge from Read more [...]

BIO: Richard T. Cartwright PE, CHMM, CPIM* is the Senior Vice President responsible for remediation technology marketing at MECx, LP.He has an MBA in Operations and Logistics Management from Indiana University, a BES in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University, and recently completed a Professional Certificate Program in Project Management at the University of Buffalo.
